Charity Dental Care
Dr. Steven Titensor recently traveled with five other distinguished dental colleagues (including Bill Dorfman of TV's "Extreme Makeover"), his wife as an assistant and eight year old daughter to Iraputo, Mexico, to provide much-needed oral-health care to hundreds of adults, children and disabled individuals. During their travels, they visited a school for the blind, an orphanage and a dental school.
Most of Dr. Titensor's time was spent in very remote villages that took about 4 hours traveling over bumpy, dirt roads to get to. He was mostly visiting people who had never even seen outside visitors, let alone a dentist!
They also delivered backpacks with school supplies and other needed items for local children they treated throughout the trip. One of Dr. Titensor's patients, Sue Goldstein of Bigger, Better, Bargains (The Diva--Underground Shopper) was able to get these items donated by several local Dallas vendors. It was a great trip!
Last Thanksgiving, Dr. Titensor spent his holiday performing free dental work at orphanages in Guadalajara, Mexico. His son Brett and daughter Ashley accompanied Dr. Titensor on the trip as his assistants.
